Software Quality Assurance Tester

Job Summary

Noetic is seeking a highly skilled software Quality Assurance Specialist to support a customer in the Washington, DC area. The position will work at a customer facility alongside developers, customers, and other testers to ensure software delivered meets customer requirements. The customer uses Agile development principles and best practices to deliver value early and adapt to changing requirements.

Responsibilities and Duties

Performs formal system testing activities for a particular project or subset of a larger project under supervision of more experienced test personnel. Performs analysis of documented user requirements and directs or assists in the design of test plans in support of user requirements for moderately complex to complex software or IT systems. May participate in all phases of risk management assessment and software/hardware development. Responsible for ensuring that the test design and documentation support all applicable clients, agency or industry standards time lines and budgets. Responsible for ensuring that testing conclusions and recommendations are fully supported by test results, and project managers are fully informed of testing status and application deviations from documented user requirements.

Required Skillsets

• Write tests to determine if software meets customer requirements.

• Follow scripts to test software.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to document test failures and communicate the test failures to developers.

• Knowledge of Agile best practices and demonstrated history of successful work in an Agile environment.

• Familiarity with software quality assurance testing tools such as Selenium, Appium, JMeter, and Postman.

Desired Skillsets

• Software development experience.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field from an accredited university.

Years of Experience: 2-5 years

Clearance Requirements: Candidate must possess either a current DoD Top Secret Security Clearance or DHS Tier 4a/BI background investigation.

*Candidate must be willing to undergo US Secret Service Suitability Assessment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $67,000.00 – $73,500.00 per year
