About Finance and Investment

Finance and Investment Division (FID) is a trusted advisor to the Transport cluster, and partners with our stakeholders to make all financial and funding considerations for our once-in-a-generation $72 billion infrastructure program.

We provide best in class financial services to support decision-making on transport services, infrastructure investment and delivery. FID plays a critical role in project planning and funding, enterprise planning and financial management and control.

The opportunity

Right now, we have an opportunity for a Senior Treasury Analyst to join us in the Finance Accounting and Control Team. This role will perform management of the treasury activities of the Transport Cluster and most agencies in the Cluster, including the daily banking, forecasting, settlement and payments.

Key accountabilities of this role include:

• Prepare and present daily, weekly, monthly and long term cash forecasts supported by accurate variance analysis on actual cash flow against forecast / budget including accurate and timely reporting to NSW Treasury.
• Assist in appropriation and other funding drawdown requests for Transport for NSW and its operating agencies and ensure treasury activities/transactions are correctly accounted.

• Undertake Treasury reconciliations and bank Settlement and confirmations and monitor the compliance of treasury policies and strategies.
• Assist in managing the ongoing functionality of the Transport banking platform, systems and procedures to facilitate best practice financial management.
• Prepare internal and external management reports to provide critical analysis of financial risk management performance.

About you

You are a passionate individual with a strong background in Treasury looking for an opportunity to develop your skills and work with teams from across the cluster. You will have appropriate tertiary qualifications.

Ideally you will have extensive experience supporting transformational change with stakeholders and the potential resistance to both structural and cultural change.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is Grade 8 ($118,015 – $132,176) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
