Currently, Circle CVI is looking for a Software QA Analyst to join our team in a full-time hybrid work model (remote and in office) in our headquarters in Calgary, Alberta.
About the Opportunity
As our new Software QA Analyst, you will:
Detect and report software defects, and re-testing to confirm when deficiencies have been corrected
Troubleshoot and identify root causes of issues found during testing and assist in problem analysis
Design test cases, test plans, and execution of tests based on written requirements and functional specifications
Develop new automation test scripts or software tools to assist in all stages of the product lifecycle
Establish and maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all work
Work closely with software developers and managers to understand user scenarios, requirements, and typical usage workflows, technical issues, impact, and risk areas
Perform functional, integration, regression, performance testing on multiple platforms (Mac, Windows, Linux)
Maintain test environments and hardware
Other general software testing activities when required
About You
Minimum technical diploma in computing science or related field
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or related field is preferred
2+ years of software testing experience
Passionate about quality and commitment to excellence
Critical thinking, attention to detail, and proven success in problem solving
Good understanding of Mac, Windows and Windows Server operating systems
Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team environment across multiple geographic locations and cultures
Experience testing software installation/deployment packages on Mac and Windows
Experience testing/evaluating software against various hardware components (hard drive types, GPU/video cards, memory configurations, etc.) considered an asset
Experience with testing/evaluating server-client applications in various network environments considered an asset
Working knowledge of the validation process in a regulated environment considered an asset
Keen interest in biological sciences/medical/healthcare applications considered an asset
Spatial reasoning skills, ability to visualize 3D objects from 2D images considered an asset
Experience with Froglogic Squish, or similar test automation tools considered an asset
Working experience with Javascript, Python or other languages considered an asset
