Responsibilities

The Intensive In-Home Specialist is responsible for providing direct therapeutic services, including treatment planning, individual counseling interventions, and parent skill training, to children and families in their home and community settings. This position requires independent work utilizing best-practice clinical interventions to support and stabilize children and families. The Intensive In-Home Specialist collaborates with other professionals and community partners to ensure effective service delivery and treatment outcomes.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and families.
• Provide individual and family therapeutic sessions and interventions based on the treatment plan.
• Establish and maintain professional therapeutic relationships with children and families while maintaining appropriate boundaries.
• Provide on-call crisis intervention services as needed.
• Accurately document all services provided in accordance with regulatory and organizational requirements within established timeframes.
• Coordinate care with schools, community organizations, courts, and other involved professionals.
• Participate in treatment team meetings and other required case coordination meetings.
• Utilize evidence-based clinical models and best practice therapeutic interventions in counseling sessions.
• Attend and participate in regular supervision meetings, staff meetings, and required training programs.
• Submit required administrative documentation by designated deadlines.

Qualifications

• To qualify for this position, the candidate must meet the Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) credentialing requirements, including:
  1. Education: A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a Human Services field (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Mental Health, Family Therapy, etc.).
