The Small Animal Specialist Hospital (SASH), was established in North Ryde, Sydney in 2007 with a second hospital opening on the Central Coast of New South Wales in 2017. We are also excited to announce that we are opening a brand new purpose-built specialist veterinary facility in South Australia in August/ September 2021. About the Role:
You will be required to assist transaction processing of the finance department as well as financial reporting. This role will be involved in the upcoming new system implementation and setting up a new site and many more ad-hoc projects. You will be involved in a wide variety of accounting including:

• Accounts payable and Accounts receivable processing and management
• Perform bank reconciliation
• Process employee reimbursements
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations
• Support month-end and year-end close process, including GL reconciliation and journal entries preparation

• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
• Self-motivated, decisive, self-disciplined, reliable and consistent, adaptable, proactive & responsive
• Good accounting software use and administration skills
• Effective communication skills (written and verbally)
• Good understanding of systems and their inter-dependencies. Ability to extract data from financial and other systems and manipulate in offline environments such as Excel or other database systems
• Strong Excel spreadsheet skills. Proficiency in MS Word, and PowerPoint
• Working towards obtaining accounting qualification
• General understanding of accounting standards, principles and procedures

Desirable:

• MS Dynamics and Xero experience (preferred)
• Change management experience
• System implementation
