Human Resources Advisor (Ref: 429) – 12 Month Fixed Term – Parental Leave Cover

About the position:
This position is responsible for the development of business partner relationships with internal customers across the organisation, resulting in the provision of timely and accurate end-to-end HR support and generalist advice.
This opportunity is offered as a parental leave cover role for 12 months full time fixed term until December 2022.
Job Requirements:
Key accountabilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for Directors, Managers and staff and manage the resolution of all generalist human resources, organisational development and industrial relations enquiries.
- Provide advice and support in the management and resolution of operational human resources issues within the framework of relevant employment agreements and legislation, policies and procedures.
- Oversee the recruitment and selection of general and specialised positions in accordance with best practice and City policies and procedures including assessment of position descriptions and selection criteria, determining advertising requirements, shortlisting, the development of interview questions and reference checking.

Position requirements:
The successful applicant must have demonstrated experience in providing timely and accurate advice to managers and employees in relation to operational human resources and organisational development practices including the application of Enterprise Agreements or Awards and associated policies.
Completion of a pre-employment medical including alcohol and other substances testing is required of all positions at the City.
Remuneration and benefits:
A salary starting from $86,829 per annum or $43.9419 per hour will be offered dependent on knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications.
