This key management position provides accounting, financial and operational support enabling the finance team to accurately and timely deliver monthly results and accurate costing data. Position will play integral role in providing accurate operational, material, freight and labor cost data to organization. Develop/maintain key accounting schedules and reconciliations to aid in the verification and closing of the monthly balances. Report on inventory and make recommendations to reduce working capital. Be a systems “super user” in all elements of the financial process to efficiently support an accurate and timely month end close.

Outcomes

Organizational Development (20%)

· Assist the finance team to achieve ‘best in class’ cost accounting and business analytic processes to consistently deliver meaningful and accurate data to drive EBITDA growth and improved cash flow.

· Assist Cost Accounting Manager and CFO to develop players that are accountable to delivering results as detailed in the annual operating plan

· Interface effectively with other departments/functions to maximize financial success and increase Corporate EBITDA across the entire organization (Technology, Marketing, Sales, Operations and Finance)

Costing/Financial Reporting (60%)

· Learn and understand all elements of the corporate wide ERP system to provide functional support to the month end close process

· Work closely with Controller and Cost Accounting Manager to build and maintain all monthly accounting schedules to support the key balance sheet accounts including all established accruals

· Provide accurate costing data and reports on other operational expenses including scrap, utilities, labor and freight with the goal of reducing expenses

· Drive projects to achieve accurate product costing in order to determine product profitability by customer

· Establish standard cost review and effectively manage standard cost changes

· Work closely with operations group on consistent review of production volumes and inventory to reduce working capital

· Maintain monthly checklist to provide support for all month end accounting entries

· Assist the finance team with projects on an as needed basis to drive additional team efficiency and reduce working capital

Business Analysis (20%)

· Perform meaningful business analysis for finance, operations and sales groups which solely drive increased profitability

· Perform variance analysis such as Purchase Price to Cost variance, cost revaluation, scrap, and work order variances.

· Assist with leadership financial analysis on an as needed basis

Education/Experience: Education – At minimum, a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required and 2 years of manufacturing experience. CPA or CMA is preferred but not required.

Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
