In this position, the chosen candidate will become principally responsible for both the Property and Corporate Accounting divisions of the Company. At present, this includes the fiduciary oversight of approximately $4 billion in real estate assets across 28 office locations, in 10 states of the US.

• Property Accounting oversight of accountants (PropertyWare).
• Corporate Accounting oversight of accountants (QuickBooks).
• Audit Preparation and handling of any Audits.
• Tax Reporting to CPAs for Client 1099s and Corporate K1s.
• Division Hiring, Policy Formation, and Dispute Resolution.
• Leadership to keep the Company Standards as set by CEO.

The responsibilities of these divisions include oversight of two payroll periods each month, the closing of corporate accounting books each quarter and at year end, the closing of the property accounting each month, the oversight of any audits, the communication with regulatory agencies such as the IRS and other Federal and State departments that oversee Real Estate services from an accounting standpoint (i.e. you would not be responsible for non-accounting requirements from these agencies), the year-end tax reporting including communication with our exterior tax CPAs, the coordination between 3rd-party vendors that provide banking, billing, bookkeeping, and software programs, the communication and reporting to our Board of Directors and shareholders in the Company, and any other necessary accounting function within the Company.

Private Full Window office and use of Building amenities such as Gym. Possibility for advancement in the future to Executive Committee.

Not obligated but the Company has a private airplane used to travel to difference offices. If the candidate happens to have a pilot license with sufficient multi-engine experience, this is a compelling addition. In such a case, flying for members of the Company, in addition to the accounting responsibilities, would be discussed and potentially included into the job position.
