Position summary:

The Accounts Payable Lead Clerk is a full-time role responsible for the day-to-day operations of the AP function. Tasks vary daily, but do include ensuring timely payments of all vendors; reconciling account balances; and maintaining accurate records and reports.

Essential job functions:

• Overseeing all AP functions and AP clerks; ensuring all processes and procedures are followed, while adhering to strict period close schedules
• Receives and verifies expense reports
• Reconciles AP transactions including item receipts and invoices, as well as monthly statements and transactions. Reconciles expense and other financial reports with account balances and other records
• Facilitates payment of vendors
• Ensures outstanding obligations are credited upon payment, identifies discount opportunities, and issues PO amendments or stop-order payments
• Supports quarterly and year-end inventory cycle counts and audits
• Other tasks as assigned

• Time management: You should be comfortable with high-volume work, driven by deadlines and changing priorities. We’re fast-paced and need colleagues who are not only willing to learn, but who can learn quickly too.

What we require:

• Associates degree in Business or Accounting; a Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting is preferred
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, Netsuite, SAP, etc.)
• 2+ years in supervisor or lead role
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, or related programs
• Experience in manufacturing, automotive, or related fields is preferred

Compensation:

This is a non-exempt position and the hiring range is $29 to $36.
