Voth Truck Bodies Hiring for Drafting & Production Assistant at Courtland, ON Full Time

Job Purpose

The Drafting & Production Assistant will be primarily responsible for preparing Top Assembly, detailed technical component drawings and weldments.

Major Responsibilities

• Work with Drafting & Design Department to complete new and revised product designs.
• Prepare layouts/drawings of assemblies, processes, and parts to be manufactured and production of 3-D modeling (from concept to manufacturing stage)
• Participate in training provided
• Compliance with all internal Policies and Procedures including, but not limited to, Health & Safety and Quality Management
• Compliance with all regional legislation including Occupational Health and Safety

Qualifications – Educational Requirements

• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must be computer literate with the ability to learn customer service software applications (Knowledge of Solid Works and Microsoft Excel an asset).
• Completion of any necessary training

Qualifications – Knowledge

• Knowledge of Truck Mounted Equipment an asset

• Ability to communicate well with internal staff
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to deal with customers in a professional manner

Working Conditions: Normal office conditions with some warehouse conditions. During certain periods may experience high volumes of inquiries and other responsibilities as listed above. Overtime may be required as deemed operationally necessary.
