Northern Jet Management Hiring for Payroll/Accounting Clerk Job at Grand Rapids, MI Full Time

Payroll Duties

· Timely processing of multi-state payroll including reviewing workflow, checking and correcting any payroll related changes in payroll system.

· Download time and attendance information for each pay cycle, follow up with employees and/or managers on missing information and resolve discrepancies.

· Upload payroll transactions and data into payroll system for tracking, reporting, maintaining records and calculating pay and taxes. Assist to reconcile payroll related general ledger accounts as needed.

· Research and respond to inquiries from associates and/or management related to payroll, time and attendance, pay calculation, deductions, or any other payroll related matter.

· Year End Reporting

AP & General Accounting Duties

· Prepare, review, and post general journal entries

· Analyze and reconcile balance sheet accounts

· Special projects as assigned by the CFO

· Other duties as assigned to conduct business

Job Requirements:

• Associates degree in Accounting or Finance required, Bachelor’s preferred Highly knowledgeable in Microsoft GP preferred and Microsoft Excel required
• Prior payroll experience is required
• Experience with Paycor or ADP is highly desireable
• The ability to efficiently learn: FOS and EBIs
• 1-2 years of previous experience in accounting
• Ability to prioritize, analyze, and perform tasks alone or in a group

• Submit to an initial drug test along with random drug/alcohol testing in order to comply with safety and company guidelines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
