CCEDA Hiring for Training Coordinator Job at Los Angeles, CA Full Time

CCEDA is seeking a Training Coordinator to support the organization in delivering a core programs: Continuing Education and Training. To do so, the TC will organize educational webinars and training in various areas of community economic development, current topics and trends, and training needs. This position will develop programs for CCEDA’s training sessions covering current community economic development trends and coordinate training obligations for CCEDA’s contracts and grant obligations. This position will report directly to the Program and Technical Assistance Manager.

Hours: 40 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Initiate, plan, and organize in-person and virtual training sessions; identify topics to be discussed, coordinate speakers and presenters
• Draft annual training schedule, planning out potential training sessions for the calendar year

• Research and stay up to date with community economic development current topics and trends

• Market training services and recruit attendance from CDCs, CAAs, CAPs and other CBOs in consultation with Program and Technical Assistance Manager
• Develop and disseminate CCEDA training and marketing materials
• Collect and analyze data from surveys and questionnaires to prepare for future CCEDA training sessions
• Assist with managing Annual Teaching and Learning Conference

• Review operating practices and implement improvements where necessary

• Assist staff with preparing and submitting grant requests, and program reports as defined by respective funding sources

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in urban planning, public policy political science, or other related fields

• 2+ years of experience in event planning or project coordination

• Computer skills: proficient in using MS Office, MS Teams, Zoom and other virtual meeting platforms

• Ability to create, compose, and edit marketing materials

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to prioritize in a very fast-paced environment
• Ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $48,000.00 – $52,000.00 per year
