Exciting opportunity to join Parkes Shire Council as a senior member of the Finance team. You will be based at Council’s Administration Centre and will be responsible for preparing Council’s monthly reporting and quarterly Operational Plan, annual budget, Delivery Plan and Long-Term Financial Plan including the development and maintenance of the General and subsidiary ledger software to preserve integrity of the data.
Essential Criteria
To be successful in this position you will need to have:
Degree in Accounting working towards CPA / CA qualifications
Minimum 3 years relevant work experience, preferably in a Local Government setting
Current and maintained NSW Drivers Licence
Working with Children Check
National Police History Check will be required
You must have the right to live and work in Australia

The Grade applicable to the position is Grade 16 to 18 within Council’s salary structure.
The annual salary range for this position is $86,000 to $110,000. Salary to be determined dependent upon the qualifications and experience of successful applicant
35 hour working week and a fortnightly RDO
Employer Superannuation of 9.5% applies
Employment conditions are in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2020
