Calibre Search Looking for Senior / Principal Geotechnical Engineer at Basingstoke, Hampshire Full Time

I am looking to speak with a Senior / Principal Geotechnical Engineer specialising in detailed design to build and develop a geotechnical team alongside the existing civil and structural engineers in that office, with technical support coming remotely from a large geotechnical team within other offices throughout the UK.

You will be working for an SME multi-disciplinary consultancy but delivering major rail, highway and building geotechnical detailed design schemes for the likes of highway England, Network Rail and HS2 etc.

Your responsibility as a Senior / Principal Geotechnical Engineer will surround taking ground investigation data to produce detailed geotechnical solutions such as retaining walls, foundations, rock slope stabilisation etc. It will be expected that you can project manage on a technical, commercial and financial basis.

As a Senior / Principal Geotechnical Engineer, your day-to-day responsibilities will surround, designing of ground investigation, Foundation Design (deep and shallow including settlement), Detailed Pile Design, Slope Stability Analysis, Soil Nailing/Rock Anchors Design, Design of Retaining Structures, Writing Geotechnical Design Reports.

Senior / Principal Geotechnical Engineer Specification:

• Chartered or near to chartered status
• Civil Engineering educated with a specialisation on soil mechanics or geotechnics.
• Must have specific geotechnical design experience using industry software
• Senior/lead design experience
