Recruitment and Resourcing Coordinator
Classification: HS3
Salary per hour (exc. super): $37.68 hour

The role of Recruitment and Resourcing Coordinator is to partner with the Public Health Unit departmental managers to ensure all recruitment, selection and resourcing activities are completed in a timely manner in order to meet the demands of the service.
The role will be involved in the resourcing activities of replacing staffing shortfalls which occur due to unplanned leave, roster shortfalls and increased demand. The role is dynamic and fast paced which requires the ability to respond to time sensitive resourcing demands whilst having the ability to manage competing priorities and problem solve effectively.

Workforce Planning and Resourcing Team
The Resourcing and Workforce Planning team works in partnership with managers to tailor effective and innovative recruitment, retention, attraction and workforce planning strategies across the organisation. The team also sources the clinical and non-clinical workforces at Bendigo Health to ensure the organisation can provide optimal patient care.
The team work with allocated departmental managers to support them in all aspects of the recruitment and selection process. This includes coordinating the processes of the online e-Recruit recruitment system, internal and external advertising of vacancies, updating position descriptions, running assessment centres, creation of employment contracts, on boarding new staff members and ensuring all pre-employment checks and credentialing are completed prior to commencement. The team also generate variation employment contracts for existing staff.
The Public Health Unit Team
In response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, The Department of Health and Human Services Victoria (DHHS) has established Local Public Health Units (LPHUs). The initial aim is to stop COVID-19 transmission in Victoria and their motto is ‘Move fast. Stop Covid. Report back to Base”. The LPHUs are responsible for implementing public health legislation and strategies under the Chief Health Officer’s direction.
The COVID-19 Clinic at Bendigo Health opened in response to the emergence of the novel Corona Virus (SARS-CoV-2) and which now includes the COVID Screening Clinic, the COVID Vaccination Clinic and the Rapid Response Testing Team (RRTT).
