Reporting to the Product Design Support Supervisor, the Product Support Designer will contribute to the continuous improvement of our luminaire product lines and to the design and development of custom products. Daily, he or she will be responsible for creating and updating BOMs and production drawings, as well as proposing solutions to issues on the assembly line. He or she will also provide technical support and assistance to the various departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Improve and correct existing products
• Design and develop custom products
• Create and revise manufacturing, assembly, and installation drawings
• Produce, review, and correct product Bills of Materials (BOMs)
• Participate in the creation and maintenance of marketing documentation
• Support procurement, customer service, and production departments as a technical expert
• Work with the ERP system

Minimum Requirements

• College diploma (DEC) or bachelor’s degree in industrial design required
• Experience with LED technology and lighting products preferred
• Proficiency in SolidWorks (modeling, configurations, and drawings) or equivalent required
• Strong skills in Excel and MS Office required
• Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and KeyShot software preferred
• Strong team player
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Curious and enthusiastic about new challenges
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Efficient and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities
• Autonomous and proactive in daily responsibilities

Travel Requirements

Knowledge of another language is required for this position in order to communicate with clients, partners, and colleagues who are mostly located outside Québec. The company has few clients in Québec and must therefore constantly use another language to communicate outside Québec
