The Indeed Analytics and Recommendations team is looking to hire an experienced front end software engineer to take ownership of design intensive features. Indeed Analytics and Recommendations team maintains the current employers’ analytics experience for Indeed customers. The team is also building the next generation web-based analytics and visualization solutions aiming to empower enterprise employers with data and insights.
As a software engineer, you will help us tackle significant engineering challenges, such as: build complex and reusable UI functional components, build and optimize for massive scale, invent new algorithms and find opportunities for abstracting and building UI layers. At the same time, you will be applying engineering best practices, and helping to create a culture of software quality and operational excellence through the organization. You will work with Product Managers, Data Scientists, Quality Assurance, and other stakeholders. You will have the opportunity to help define the product roadmap and to provide input into the business strategy. If our mission and these challenges resonate with you, then we need to talk!
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain UI reusable solutions, visualizations, and analytics reports.
- Design and implement efficient algorithms to solve complex engineering problems.
- Continually improve UI quality and performance for Indeed employer center analytics.
- Code innovative tools to support rapid experimentation and learning.
- Provide feedback to enhance the development process.
Who You Are
You will be responsible for entire features, from working with a Product Manager and a UX Designer on the problem being solved, possible solutions, the UI design, implementation and analytics. You should possess a mix of technical strength, business strength and good product ideas.
We are looking for someone who’s:
- Energetic, driven, committed, and highly analytical.
- A trained problem solver who is not intimidated by complex cross functional engineering challenges.
- Passionate about software quality, improving the design/development process, and building highly available systems.
- Obsessive about providing the best possible customer experience.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of software development experience with programming languages and technologies such as Javascript/Typescript, HTML/CSS, ReactJS, Docker, Nodejs and Webpack.
- Deep understanding of the full software development life cycle (SDLC), including coding standards, code review, source control, build, test, deploy, and operations.
- Experience building highly scalable distributed systems.
- Experience working with REST and RPC service patterns and other client/server interaction models.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field (Master’s is a plus).

Salary Range Disclaimer
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.

US Remote 109,000 – 159,000 USD per year
