Novacroft Hiring for Apprentice Finance Assistant Job at Northampton, England Full Time

This is a varied and interesting role to provide support to the finance team at Novacroft. Novacroft is a people-first organisation that specialises in customer experience transformation for clients in central and local government, charity, education, mobility and retail. The role will involve general support in the day to day activities of the finance department. In this role you will help with accounting and reconciliation activities, as well as providing wider support to the team including profitability analysis.

As Novacroft’s permanent and full-time Apprentice Finance Assistant, you’ll work under the direction of our Chief Financial Officer (CFO), along with the close support from our Management Accountant.

You will work to provide assistance across the Novacroft finance team including support with the accounts, reconciliations, payroll, payments, reporting, budgets and profitability analysis.

You’ll need to have an analytical mind, a keen eye for detail and desire to learn and develop.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Gain an understanding of the systems, tools and processes used within the finance team
• Preparing payment analysis and completing reconciliations.
• Running reports, recording, extracting and transferring data.
• Investigating and resolving reconciliation queries.
• Supporting annual budgets and re-forecasts, working with budget holders in the business.
• Assisting with preparing monthly management accounts.
• Supporting payroll, PAYE, VAT and other tax compliance processes
• Supporting profitability analysis of different departments and clients.
• Supporting improvements to the finance teams processes of capturing and analysing data.
• Support with invoice processing and queries.

Qualifications Required:

• Minimum of 5 GCSEs Grade 9 – 4, including Maths and English (or equivalent)
• A-Levels Preferred

Training:

As an Accountancy Apprentice with BPP, you will complete the Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship at Level 3. Within the apprenticeship you will undertake the AAT Level 3 qualification.

The apprenticeship will be completed at a BPP centre or via the Online Classroom platform, in addition to at the workplace.

Prospects:

Novacroft will support the apprentice to complete their AAT-accredited apprenticeship. Upon completion we would like the candidate to either continue as a Finance Assistant, or take on another role within Novacroft.
