Our Strategy & Finance team

In Strategy & Finance, we set our company’s shared strategic vision and facilitate long-term strategic planning and resource allocation. Our team also provide commercial advice and strategic insight; deliver external reporting; and enable the business to effectively manage key strategic, operational and financial risks.

We’ve recently gone Agile in Strategy & Finance so that we can better prioritise our work, flow the right resources to that work, develop our people and ultimately support our business stakeholders to deliver better outcomes for our customers and our shareholders. This role sits within our Financial Management Chapter Area, a ~350 strong global team of financial professionals who provide business partnering and FP&A services to missions across the organisation

YOUR IMPACT:

As a Finance Manager/Senior Finance Analyst within our Financial Management Chapter Area, you will play a critical role delivering insight and driving change via our Agile way of working. While your role will vary from mission to mission, the capabilities and scope of our Finance Managers/Senior Finance Analysts do not. We are finance professionals who provide a full suite of business partnering and FP&A services including but not limited to financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, strategic partnering, management reporting, financial analysis, performance commentary and accounting advice.

We currently flow to over 40 missions which can be broadly categorised under seven groups:

• Consumer and Small Business (Retail)
• Enterprise Domestic
• Enterprise International
• Group Finance Strategy, Performance & Transformation
• Cost Leadership
• Profitability & Performance
• InfraCo

We are looking for someone who can clearly demonstrate these key attributes and skills:

• Completed CA or CPA qualification or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in financial analysis, forecasting and business partnering.
• Someone who will wade into the complexity and who sees problems as opportunities.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to take a problem statement and work autonomously to build a course of action, undertake analysis across both financial and operational drivers and then prepare recommended actions for senior stakeholders.
• Experience across P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.
• Ability to provide leadership and guidance to other members of the mission team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills which can be applied to a range of different stakeholders.
• You have a passion for numbers and improving financial performance.
