General Summary
Responsible for managing and maintaining a learning management system (LMS) for DePaul employees. Responsible for the development and maintenance of online training content, including interactive media and eLearning courses for DePaul employees. Utilizes knowledge of learning theory and adult learning principles to create engaging and effective online learning experiences. Designs, delivers, tests, and updates solutions and process improvements. Assists in the implementation of performance management processes for all staff.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Manages and maintains DePaul LMS to serve as a centralized learning portal for all employees.
• Collaborates with Workplace Learning and Performance team as well as learning admins from across the university to upload, manage and distribute content, track course progress and completion, moderate learning communities, assist learners, troubleshoot problems, create and run reports and implement updates as needed.
• Designs, develops, and maintains eLearning courses and instructional multimedia objects to support learning needs of DePaul’s employees.
• Determines project needs, identifies appropriate delivery methods, and works with an instructional designer to create an experience that is relevant, engaging, and meets training needs and relevant learning theory.
• Serves as project manager and supervises vendors or partners as appropriate. Works collaboratively with colleagues to structure content, recommend platforms and deliver experience within project work plan and timeline.
• Supports performance management processes (ePerformance) as a functional expert.
• Respond to employee questions and requests, while providing functional and technical support.
• Maintains and analyzes evaluation and other relevant data to identify results and track the effectiveness of training interventions.
• Identifies trends and creates reports for learning partners to encourage and implement data-driven training needs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 1-3 years of experience with Learning Management or Course Management Systems
• 3-5 years of experience with authoring software, (i.e. Articulate, Captivate, etc.)

Preferred Requirements

• Master’s degree.
• Video/Audio production and editing skills preferred, (i.e. Adobe Premiere, After Effects and Audition).
• Oracle/PeopleSoft experience.

Managerial Responsibilities

• Manages complex technology solutions; able to evaluate and recommend multi-media, social learning, and blended solutions based upon University and Human Resource needs and capabilities.
• Oversight of full-cycle project management of online training experience: needs analysis, design, development, delivery, and evaluation.
• Responsible for projects to be complete on time, within budget, and within specifications.
• Assigns and monitors tasks for student assistants and graduate interns.

Financial Responsibilities

• Identifies and implements software/technology solutions.
