Job description
Founded in 1933, PIOLAX is a leading global plastic injection moulding producer of plastic components to the automotive sector.
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to add to our friendly and welcoming Finance team. The main purpose of the Accounts Assistant role is to be responsible for aiding in the production of the month end accounts, sales ledger, self-billing invoices along with some ad hoc credit control functions
The Role:
· Responsibility for self-billing invoices
· Reconciling and closure of sales ledger at month end
· Credit control and escalation of non-payments from customers
· Cash allocation
· Reviewing client payment terms and providing feedback to internal customers if necessary
· Holding monthly internal debtors meetings
· Assisting with purchase ledger during busy periods such as month end
· Reporting on credit risk to ensure the risk is managed effectively
· Liaising with customers and company stakeholders
· Any other reasonable duties, including other ad-hoc administrative accounts duties, as requested by the Finance and Support Services Manager
Essential and Desirable Criteria:
· Previous experience within an Accounts Assistant position, especially sales ledger (E)
· Fully competent with MS Word, Excel and accounting systems (E)
· Excellent attention to detail (E)
· Strong work ethic (E)
· Able to prioritise and manage deadlines and workloads effectively (E)
· Ability to work in a focused manner and deal with a high volume of transactions (E)
· Excellent communication skills (E)
· Maths and English GSCE grade C or above (E)
· Accountancy qualification (D)
· Accounting Systems experience (D)
· Previous payroll experience (D)
· Intermediate level of Excel (D)
Part-time hours: 30 per week
