The Role

As part of our Web Isolation team in Proofpoint you will be working on a product that makes internet usage safe. This means working on different parts of the products — on our Java and Golang backends (customers back office and various services), on our React frontend for various UIs, and on our Server Browser and Client renderer technologies. There is something interesting for everyone.

Your day-to-day

Our overall Web Isolation engineering team is located across different time zones, but you will be part of a smaller team mainly in the UK time zone.

Work on performance optimization of our product on all fronts

Be a team player in a distributed environment, collaborate cross teams on challenging project priorities and products

Help debugging services that run on all continents and used 24/7

Work on cross product integrations and help shape our product with your innovative ideas

What you bring to the team

You should be an expert in at least in one of the following areas:

Modern JavaScript frameworks

Backend experience, preferably in Java, Golang, or JavaScript

SQL (MySQL in particular)

Beneficial

Experience working with distributed systems, debugging and analysing log files

Previous experience of developing browser extensions

Experience setting up projects from scratch with various tech stacks

Familiarity with statistics, data analysis and doing research for solving users pain points

Comfortable working in a remote capacity
