PADUA was founded in 2014 by Anne-Marie Esler and Matt Esler and has operations in Kiama and Sydney. PADUA’s solutions enhance advice quality, reduce compliance risk and increase advice productivity. PADUA connects advisers with highly skilled resources via intelligent, proprietary technology and its SaaS and tech-enabled services are used by advisers from leading financial services licensees including Findex, Count, AMP, Wealth Market and Fiducian. PADUA have also developed a sophisticated data engine and visual dashboards to deliver PADUA’s highly sought-after advice data in real-time.

Padua is looking for enthusiastic and creative Software Developers to join its technically dynamic team on a permanent basis. We’re looking for candidates who are keen to learn and are passionate about coding and IT.

The purpose of the role is to plan, design and develop software which is used by Padua’s internal stakeholders (Padua Paraplanning and Padua Transition Management Services) as well as external stakeholders (financial planners and financial advisers).

As a software developer, your responsibilities will include project management – confirming project requirements by reviewing program objectives, input data and output requirements and preparing work flow charts and diagrams; building software solutions using Scrum/Agile practices, and engaging with team and business stakeholders in sprint reviews and daily SCRUM meetings.

In terms of your skills, knowledge and abilities, we are looking for candidates who have:

• Completed degrees in Information Systems and Technology or Computer Science and Software Engineering or other IT related studies,
• Advanced keyboard, computer skills and knowledge of job related PC applications,
• Experience in PHP, HTML5, CSS, Javascript and Version Control (Git/Gitlab),
• Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle and Agile development,
• Understanding of modern PHP MVC Frameworks,
• Knowledge of SilverStripe (highly preferable), with other frameworks including Symfony and Laravel also relevant,
• Knowledge of Angular 7+ framework (other frameworks such as React also relevant),
• Experience in relational database software (MySQL),
• Experience in Project Tracking software (JIRA),
• Exposure to utilising the AWS suite of Products and Services,
• Above average written and verbal communication skills, and
• A keen interest in financial services (preferable).
