Salary:

$3,896.88 – $6,235.01 per month commensurate with experience.

Job Description Summary:

A Software Applications Developer I for the Financial Accounting Management Information System (FAMIS) department performs computer programming and systems analysis. The scope of the position involves assisting in the design and development of applications, documenting methods and procedures, correcting and enhancing programs and writing programs for the solution to problems.

Responsibilities:

• Code and develop applications according to specifications defined by customers and analysts.
• Perform unit and systems testing on software developed by members of the development team.
• Meet with end users and other application developers to discuss and develop project requirements and detail specifications.
• Write technical and end-user documentation and instructions for ongoing product support.
• Professional development. Read and research job-related technology and security changes.

• Attend seminars, conferences, educational courses, etc. to develop and grow technical and professional skills.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Programming skills in one or more business oriented languages.

• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written skills.

• Ability to meet with users to gather and document system requirements.
• Must be able to work with other developers as part of a development team.

• Occasional work outside scheduled hours.

• Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
