The role

In order for us to succeed in our mission of growth, our People strategy needs to evolve and adapt. We are currently embarking on a HR Digital Transformation and as a result, we are now seeking a Head of Talent Acquisition to join our People team and lead the Recruitment vision for the UK. You will be responsible for developing and leading the national recruitment strategy, collaborating with our UK leaders and global People team. You will be the driving force behind ensuring we attract, recruit and retain the very best, sporty talent, whilst maintaining Decathlon’s unique culture. Your aim will be to ultimately develop Decathlon UK’s employer brand and deliver our mission of becoming a UK employer of choice.

What’s involved?

• Develop our UK Employer Brand strategy and implement our Employee Value Proposition (EVP) messaging.
• Lead on recruitment social media channels, working closely with the Communications team to improve our brand awareness and showcase our unique Decathlon culture.
• Partner with Regional Leaders and Store Managers to understand business requirements and local recruitment needs.
• Recruitment Project Lead for our HR Digital Transformation programme involving our newly implemented Applicant Tracking System, SAP Success Factors. In addition to continuous improvement and optimisation of our ATS and careers site.
• Lead on recruitment training nationally for hiring managers by designing, developing and sharing recruitment training and best practices.
• Drive our Equality, Diversity & Inclusion strategy to attract and promote diversity and authenticity amongst our teammates.
• Develop analytics and reporting in order to regularly review the efficiency and relevancy of existing processes and tools in order to improve efficiency of the recruitment process.
• Design, develop, implement and evaluate the best possible candidate experience.
• Co-design Decathlon’s Early Talent Programme.
• Build and maintain external partnerships with relevant organisations including universities, job boards and SAP consultants.
• Involvement in wider UK People Transformation Projects.

Who are you?

• Proven in-house recruitment management experience including senior level roles.
• Experience of using/implementing ATS systems (SAP Success Factors desirable).
• Proven experience in building recruitment strategies utilising various recruitment best practices.
• Strong knowledge of recruitment channels and platforms including LinkedIn, Glassdoor and other social media and job boards.
• Project and change management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong stakeholder management.
• Positive and collaborative outlook.
• Entrepreneurial and a creative problem-solver.

Additional Information:

• Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent, 39 hours per week.
• Salary: Dependent on experience, and will be discussed throughout your recruitment process.
• Location: This is a hybrid role based in our London Campus located in Surrey Quays. Travel to London Campus will be required 2 – 3 days a week, with national travel required on an ad-hoc basis.
