Pharmacy Technician:

To assist with the technical functions of dispensing prescriptions, assist as appropriate in the delivery of pharmacy services and participate in the maintenance and operations of the Pharmacy as described by the Pharmacy Standards of Practice, and at the same time to provide superior, timely, and pleasant service to customers.

Key responsibilities of a Pharmacy Technician include:

• Patient care and greeting, as to confirm the accuracy of all pertinent prescription information prior to filling
• Data entry of patient care information into the insurance system
• Third Party adjudication where required and necessary
• Accurate dispensing prescription medications
• Maintenance of pharmacy stock through inventory control systems
• General OTC enquiries from patients and referral to Pharmacist where required and necessary
• Handling customer prescription pick up.
• Assisting with cashier responsibilities as required in the Pharmacy

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Registered Pharmacy Technician with ACP.
• Experienced in working with Pharmacy Software Nexsus is a plus.

• Excellent organizational skills and detail orientation
• Strong communication skills
• Demonstrated customer service experience
• Strong motivation to succeed
• Proficient computer/data/entry skills.

Salary: $23.00-$28.00 per hour
