 The VP, Global Sourcing is responsible for collaborating with the company’s partners to develop and produce brand-appropriate, high quality merchandise at competitive prices, delivered on-time. The leader will develop and implement sourcing strategies to achieve seasonal cost targets. The leader is responsible for identifying, developing, nurturing the vendor network to meet the evolving needs of the brands.

Responsibilities:

Key Accountabilities:

• Partner with Chief Sourcing Officer to develop and communicate a global sourcing strategy that meets or exceeds financial goals/targets while adhering to calendar deadlines
• Manage & develop effective relationships with cross-functional leaders (design, planning, merchandising, logistics and finance to achieve organizational goals
• Build, develop, nurture and maintain positive relationships with vendors
• Manage vendor and factory allocation in alignment with offered capacity
• Direct & guide team to develop seasonal allocation and negotiation strategies to meet financial targets
• Accountable for ensuring >97% on-time delivery
• Responsible for issuing and closing product quality claims
• Travel globally as required in order to nurture and develop vendor relationships
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve sourcing processes to achieve greater efficiency
• Lead, manage and develop high performing talent and teams

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required; Master’s degree preferred
• 15+ years of experience in global sourcing
• Vertical retail industry experience required
• Multinational experience preferred
