The Human Resources Advisor is a generalist position that works closely with others in the People and Culture team to provide HR advice and support to line managers and employees. The position also completes administrative and operational tasks that supports the People and Culture function.
Duties
- Interpreting and providing accurate advice and support to line managers and employees on our enterprise agreement, HR policies and procedures, and relevant legislation.
- Assisting with the development, and supporting the roll out, of business improvement and change initiatives, including behavioural and cultural change, engagement and retention strategies.
- Assisting with the development, and supporting the roll out, of key HR initiatives and projects (such as performance reviews, engagement surveys, talent management, flu vaccinations).
- Assisting to educate and coach people leaders to manage and successfully resolve employee relations issues (e.g. performance management, workplace grievances and disputes, disciplinary processes and terminations)
- Assisting with the building and delivery of training, which includes online modules, video recordings, and face-to-face training.
- Proactively developing and maintaining effective relationships with line managers in order to understand their needs and assisting with the development of tailored HR initiatives.
