Daals Hiring for Head of Finance Job at Coventry, England Full Time

Due to a period of sustained growth Daal’s have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join us as Head of Finance. This role will give the successful candidate the opportunity to create and deliver from the ground up whilst supporting the Directors in the delivery of wider financial strategies and structures. With current revenues in the region of £20m, the business urgently needs structure, controls and policies that seamlessly enable further double-digit growth. As Head of Finance you will partner with all of the key stakeholders including the two Shareholders and various functional heads to develop a budgeting process, create a thorough Management Accounting pack and adequate financial reports for the auditors and for Companies House. The successful candidate must have experience within an E-Commerce business and ideally will have set up a finance function from scratch

Responsibilities of the Head of Finance will include:

• Creating a professional banking arrangement to help further the growth of the company
• Design, introduce, adapt and improve processes to support the financial performance of the business
• Take the lead on the development of financial plans to support the short, medium and long-term objectives of the business
• Pro-actively advise, influence and educate on all financial management issues within the context of delivering financial objectives including savings and growth
• Be accountable for the development of financial strategy, providing insights on likely financial consequences and highlighting risks on commercial decision making
• Create and own the budgeting process including the development of departmental budgets with ongoing analysis and reporting
• Ensure that the business meets all of its financial regulation and compliance requirements creating policy to support this
• Identify te need for any other roles that sit under the finance remit and build an engaged team capable of meeting all of the requirements of finance functions BAU activity
• Ensure that all financial risk to the business is identified, quantified and steps taken to mitigate these
• Production of weekly P&L down to gross margin with commentary for all variances
• Full reconciliation between P&L and management accounts

The Head of Finance will have the following skills and experience:

• A professional qualification will be highly desirable (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
• Must have E-Commerce experience
• Must have experience as Head of Finance or Finance Director
• Demonstrable experience of setting up a finance function from scratch
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• exposure of a high growth environment previously
• Experience of various accounting platforms with the ability to highlight and implement best in class for Daal’s
• Demonstrate vision and leadership
• Change management and excellent stakeholder management skills
