Northwest School of Music Hiring for Violin/Viola Teacher Job at Austin, TX Full Time

Established music school in Northwest Austin is interviewing prospective Violin/Viola instructors. Lessons will be in-person. School hours are from 3:30 PM until 8:00 PM M-F, 10:00 AM-2:00 PM Sat. We have been in business for 17 years and have over 390 students currently enrolled. Lessons are taught year round with time off during the winter holidays, spring break and the week of July 4th. Our staff takes care of all scheduling, fee collection, book keeping, facility maintenance and sanitizing. All you do is teach!

We have a “No make up policy”. If a student misses a lesson for any reason, you are paid in full for that lesson.You will never be asked to give “make up lessons”. We are a highly professional music school with top review’s. Our school has an exceptional support staff to serve both the students and the teachers. This is not a “Traveling” teacher position.

Applicants must have the following qualifications.

• A degree in music from a 4 year college or university with Violin/Viola as your principle instrument. An advanced degree will be a bonus!
• Previous teaching experience as a Violin/Viola instructor.
• Be currently living in Austin or the surrounding area.
• Plan on living in Austin for at least 2 years.
• Have a schedule that allows you to teach weekdays from 3:30-8:00 PM, 10:00-2:00 PM Saturdays, one or more days .
• Have a strong desire to be a successful Violin/Viola teacher.
• A current resume listing music education and teaching qualifications.
