Strong Recruitment Group Looking for Structural Engineer at Cardiff Full Time

Strong Recruitment Group are on the hunt for Structural Engineers with Design experience to start ASAP on a permanent basis for our well-established and successful client who are based in Wales, Cardiff.

Due to their increase in major new build and refurbishment projects our client is seeking a keen Structural Engineer to join the friendly team

Salary: £22,000 – £40,000 per annum

Job Requirements:

• Managing projects under appropriate supervision including
• liaison with the client and other members of the project team.
• Responsible for the analysis and design of structures in structural steel, reinforced concrete, timber and masonry, reporting to a Senior Engineer/Director
• Analysis experience using Tekla Structural Designer 3D modelling software
• Producing detailed calculations, both computer analysis based and by hand
• Working with the technical team to prepare and produce drawings.
• Experience of utilising CAD software (eg AutoCAD) and ability to navigate Revit software using a suitable viewer would be an advantage
• Liaising with internal team colleagues to ensure NJP design is fully co-ordinated
• Visiting sites to inspect works and resolving site queries
• Producing reports and correspondence
• Attending project meetings

Desirable

• Accredited degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering.
• Hold or be working towards Chartered status (IStructE or ICE)
• Technically competent and understand the fundamental stability requirements of structures and construction details
• Experience of visiting sites to inspect works and resolving site queries, producing reports and correspondence
• Ability to navigate Revit software using a suitable viewer
