The Opportunity
Finance Branch is seeking innovative and forward thinking senior finance professionals who can modernise and transform the way we work, to ensure we are a trusted and professional business partner, delivering financial insight to inform decision-making across PM&C.
The branch provides financial advice, contestability, control and assurance to the department based on the following principles:
As a Director in Finance Branch, you will lead a multi-functional finance team in a high-profile, fast-paced environment. You will work closely with varied stakeholders, including the Senior Executive Service, our shared service clients; the National Indigenous Australians Agency and National Recovery and Resilience Agency, and other portfolio agencies.

You will be responsible for influencing and developing strategies, policies, priorities and operational practices, as well as leading and providing strategic direction to a team, developing business plans and identifying opportunities for building team capability and undertaking continuous improvement.
To be successful you will be:
Relevant finance qualifications (CPA, CA) are required for roles undertaking financial accounting. Relevant finance qualifications are desirable but not essential, for other roles.
