Organization Description:
JFW Accounting Services is a growing and progressive firm that provides Client Accounting Services to Non-Profits and Small businesses. We help our clients stay in compliance, provide comprehensive financial information while utilizing technology tools to help deliver them. We are growing and are currently seeking an experienced accounting professional to assist with services provided to our clients. The ideal candidate must be available during standard work hours. Position Description:

The Accounting Manager serve to lead all day to day finance operations including functional responsibility over accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and grants administration. This position will supervise a team of staff members, assist with the implementation of new clients and will ensure current clients have systems and procedures in place to support effective program implementation and conduct flawless audits.

We are a boutique accounting firm and do require team members perform a wide range of accounting services. You must be able to balance multiple projects, while maintaining standards of professional quality.
Key Functions:

• Proficiency in intermediate accounting functions. Invoicing and entering deposits, entering expenditures, bill payment with the motoring of accounts payable aging, month end reporting including account reconciliations, processing of payroll and payroll changes, year-end reporting to include 1099 processing and proper cut off for AP and AR transactions.
• Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
• Consistently analyze financial data and prepare financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; monitor progress and changes and keep senior leadership abreast of the organization’s financial status.
• Assist with the management organizational cash flow and forecasting
• Manage and track the performance of invested assets in keeping with policies and investment guidelines
• Review monthly results and implement monthly variance reporting. This includes reviewing all financial plans and compare to actual results with a view to identify, explain, and correct variances as appropriate.
• Maintain internal controls and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and program budgets and actual expenditures.
• Provide support and direction to Directors/ Program Managers charged with oversight of the respective programs/grants/divisions.
• Manage and provide oversight of finance staff
• Support the Senior Accountant with the accounting activities as processing invoices, deposits, payroll and financial reporting.
• Lead audit preparation, creating a complete package for the auditors. This requires meeting all requirements of the auditors’ request list, preparing the package in accordance with auditor’s timeline.

Qualifications:
Education

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field strongly preferred
• Experience with Sage (intacct) Preferred
• QuickBooks Online accounting systems at minimum is Preferred

Experience:

• 6-10 years of accounting experience (non-profit sector preferred), of which at least 2-5 years includes supervisory experience.
• Demonstrated initiative, discipline, and ability to perform under pressure and to meet deadlines
• Demonstrated experience with annual budgeting process
• Working knowledge of managing multiple grants
• Solid experience coordinating audit activities

Benefits: Paid time off is based on tenure and includes accruals of sick

and vacation hours. We recognize nine paid holidays per calendar year. JFW Accounting also provides medical, dental, and vision insurance prorated (75%). A retirement plan match is available after 1 year of service.
Physical Requirements:

• The employee may be required to sit and stand for extended periods of time in front of a computer screen.
