Under Canvas Hiring for Director Of Procurement at Belgrade, Montana Full Time

As a Director of Procurement with Under Canvas, you will be a valued member of our Supply Chain Management department by assisting in the procurement, planning, organization, and delivery of materials for the Company. This provides you the opportunity to work with a dynamic team to coordinate products and processes to ensure efficient distribution to more than eight camp site locations across the country.

Oversees the negotiation, structure and administration of contractual documents that establish business relationships with vendors and suppliers for purchasing goods and supplies, equipment, services, systems, software or technical equipment for company use. Ensures favorable terms and volume discounts are negotiated that comply with company policies and procedures, legal requirements and/or other specifications.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Manages the activities and staff involved in purchasing and procurement of goods and supplies, equipment, services, systems, software or technical equipment for company use.
• Develops, documents, implements and coordinates procurement activities company-wide to maximize scale efficiencies and deliver operational effectiveness. Ensures procurement strategy aligns with company strategy.
• Develops and negotiates contracts and implements and monitors procurement processes to ensure efficient execution and best in class acquisitions. Minimizes the company’s risk exposure to finance, audit and legal issues.
• Provides strategic procurement guidance and develops programs, policies and procedures to produce efficiencies and reduce expenses through strategic sourcing. Ensures compliance to formal sourcing/procurement policies and preferred supplier agreements. Directs, reviews, and approves all major sourcing decisions.
• Manages a team including providing oversight and direction for financial and operational activities.
• Coordinate inventory planning, replenish materials, furnishings and all inventory types based on the needs of the camps.
• Plan, organize and execute logistics impacting our Supply Chain department.
• Analyze and manage raw materials, item master lists, inventory levels, order fulfillment, and supply chain processes.
• Primary point of contact to streamline communication within the Supply Chain Division, including logistics, procurement, warehousing, and manufacturing. 
• Communicate with suppliers where all parties are benefiting and collaborating to reach mutual satisfaction.
• Proactively report delivery and availability issues regarding all materials, furnishings and inventory types.
• Identify gaps in processes and provide recommendations to improve efficiency.

• Minimum 5+ years of proven success in Supply Chain Management (buying, planning, or procurement preferred).

• Solutions-oriented, strong organization skills, detail-oriented, and ability to prioritize key tasks.
• Computer-savvy (proficient in Microsoft Excel, and ability to navigate multiple programs).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Well versed in Supply Chain Management principles and practices (especially Inventory Management)
• Extremely organized with above average record-keeping abilities. 
• Customer-focused, and ability to work well under pressure. 
• Strong critical thinking skills and experience implementing improvements.
