Bring your technical & customer focus skill set to our team. You will play a key role in helping satisfy our dynamically changing informational needs. In this role, you will assist in the evolution of tools for our customers, both internal & external, to continually improve their experience. You will work collaboratively with the team in all aspects of the role. Recent initiatives undertaken by our team include the ongoing expansion of the Precoat Portal, a series of internal applications used to collect & share business information. You will also be involved in our continually evolving industry-leading, customer-facing CoilZone system as we provide real-time access to all business information for our clients. You will work in a supportive environment where numerous opportunities are available to continue to develop and refine your programming and communication skills.
Responsibilities include:

• Assist in the design & deployment of applications that increase our company’s informational offerings, leading to operational efficiencies, robust process controls, & margin improvement
• Play a key role in supporting and the modernization of programs and systems that are the backbone of our business.
• Support key individuals at our corporate headquarters & across our 13 production facilities by enhancing existing applications & data access
• Work collaboratively with experienced members of our Business Information Systems team to identify tools & external applications to improve departmental performance

As a preferred candidate you will have 5+ years working with the following & interest in joining a great team!

• Background in software development in IBMi Db2 Database, COBOL, RPG, Synon, SQL and CLP
• Participate in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle, from requirement gathering to design and implementation, to ensure business needs are being addressed.
• Familiarity with a web-based, server-side programming language such as Go, C#, etc.
• Familiarity with a modern front-end experience using HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript,
• IBMi experience
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
