Associate International Recruitment Officer

• Engage with and develop relationships with prospective students

The Division of Future Students exists to bring together all stages of the future student journey. The key objective is to deliver a more cohesive experience for students, from first contact through to enrolment, with a strategic approach to marketing, recruitment, and admissions.

The Opportunity

As part of the International Student Recruitment team, you will proactively drive the University’s international marketing and recruitment strategy. The role will involve some interstate and overseas travel and is suited to an experienced and committed professional with experience in international student recruitment.

Key Accountabilities:

• Guided by the University’s strategic priorities and in close consultation with the Regional Development Manager, Student Admissions and colleges, schools and institutes:
  • Support international student conversion activities and initiatives; and
  • Contribute to delivering international student conversion activities, including, liaison with agents and other stakeholders and other initiatives designed to increase international student enrolment.
• Provide highly professional representation of the University to international students and education agencies, and actively contribute to raising the University’s profile and marketability.
• Contribute to the University’s market intelligence through gathering, developing and disseminating current market information and opportunities that the University can use to meet recruitment targets.
• In consultation with the Regional Development Manager provide conversion support for international students across the entire recruitment journey and provide training for educational agencies on process requirements.

Your Application

To be successful in the role, your application will need to demonstrate;

• A proven outcome and target focused work ethic, initiative and experience in sales and marketing or international student recruitment.
• Ability to meet and exceed targets/KPI’s in a high-pressure environment.
• Well-developed interpersonal and communications skills in a cross-cultural context.
• Previous experience in a target driven call centre, support service and sales.
• An awareness and sensitivity to the special needs and aspirations of students from developing countries and those from differing cultural, economic and social backgrounds.
• Knowledge of the Australian tertiary education sector as well as a good working knowledge of international education.
