For our Cornwall facility, we are actually searching for a: GENERAL LABOURER (NIGHT SHIFT)
POSITION DETAILS
Under the supervision of the Production Supervisor, the General Labourer will examine and stack boards and on skids or on rollers for distribution to other parts of the plant; separates defective boards for recycling or scrap; performs general labour; perform quality checks.
The main areas of production are
Mill: Examines and stacks boards on skids or on rollers for distribution to other parts of the plant
General: Separates defective items for recycling or scrap, performs general labour work as assigned, quality checks as directed, labels boards, receives instructions from the lead hand and works under the general supervision of the Mill Supervisor.
Physical/Visual: Frequent standing, walking, stooping, pushing, pulling feeling and grasping with hands and arms. Occasionally required to perform heavy lifting in excess of 30 lbs.
REQUIREMENTS
Relevant experience in manufacturing environment
Experience in operating a forklift is an asset
Night Shift: Monday – Thursday 5:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m.
Start Rate: $15.20 per hour – Increase upon completion of probationary period at $15.45/h:
On 2022-04-01, the rate will be $15,95/h
On 2023-04-01, the rate will be $16.55/h
Opportunity to advance to operator positions – minimum rates actually $17.35/h:
On 2021-04-01, the rate will be $17.85/h
On 2022-04-01, the rate will be $18.35/h
On 2023-04-01, the rate will be $18.85/h
Benefits: 100% premium paid benefits package after 6 months
