Amoda is a Vancouver-based brand and manufacturer of nourishing, organic, drinkable wellness products including matcha lattes, superfood lattes, herbal teas and a tea subscription box. We’re committed to be being a brand of integrity with research-backed product development, diversity in our business practices, ethical sourcing and transparency in sourcing.
We are looking for someone eager to work for a small, growing company and help us scale our production and fulfillment systems. The main focus of this role is managing in-house production and order fulfillment for our monthly subscription box, online store and wholesale orders. The successful candidate will thrive in fast-paced environments, adapt well to change and enjoy working independently.
We are a very small team, so activities and responsibilities can shift quickly when new orders come in, large wholesale orders are added or supply shipping delays occur. It’s important that you can adapt easily and have experience reorganizing priorities while maintaining organization. This is an exciting opportunity for someone interested in the wellness space and wanting to make an impact on the growth of a company.
There is also a customer service component to this role. You will be monitoring customer service inquiries, responding when related to fulfillment and orders or redirecting to the appropriate person. At our current volumes this will likely be 1-2 hours of your week.
This is a full-time position, 30-40 hours per week located in Richmond, BC. Due to the nature of a monthly subscription box, production volume increases towards the end of the month, so some weeks will be 40 hours and some will be a lighter 30 hours. This is a 9:00 – 5:00 role with some flexibility for shifting some hours to evenings and/or weekends.
Responsibilities
You will maintain and develop warehousing systems, pick and pack customer orders, coordinate the shipment of ecommerce and wholesale orders (packages and pallet assembly and logistics), organize the receipt of raw materials and supplies and maintain all shipping and production workflow supplies.
You will also be responsible for managing our monthly tea subscription box from start to finish each month including managing active subscribers, packing teas for the box, assembling the tea boxes and coordinating shipping.
You will manage inventory levels, restock the pick and pack area, assemble products, label and pack teas, update product inventory on our website and add new product pages.
Alongside the above responsibilities, you will document processes, record monthly data on costs, orders, and production timing.
Requirements
We are looking to take our fulfillment processes to the next level, so experience in a busy shipping/receiving environment and the ability to implement proven systems is a great asset.
Ability to manage any unplanned events or manage last minute requests from the customers, keeping all parties informed of any changes.
1 year+ experience in a logistics and/or fulfillment position preferred
Highly organized with great attention to detail
Computer skills with general knowledge of software programs and equipment.
Ability to communicate consistently and adapt to new challenges
Some days you will be working alone, so your ability to troubleshoot and work through problems independently is highly valued.
