Country Road Group Hiring for Assistant Accountant Job at Melbourne Full Time

Maintain an accurate record of all Fixed Assets within the Country Road Group, to ensure budgets and financial obligations are being met

As the Assistant Accountant (Fixed Assets & Leasing) you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of all fixed assets within the Country Road Group. Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, you will prepare the monthly financial entries, monthly reconciliations of the balance sheet and support the broader business with ad-hoc projects.

Working across a diverse stakeholder portfolio, your contribution will have a direct impact on the financial performance of the group.

Based in Melbourne with a hybrid mix of time in the office and from home, this role will suit a highly motivated Assistant Accountant, who is looking to join a high-performing and engaging finance team.

What does the role involve?

• Assist Fixed Asset & Leasing Accountant to maintain the integrity of fixed asset register for all companies within the Country Road Group
• Preparation of fixed asset and leasing journals for the monthly financial statements
• Generation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Work with the Senior Financial Accountant on capitalisation, disposal, impairment & reconciliation of all assets
• Support the business with CAPEX budget and forecasting
• Continue to drive a high level of compliance with the group policy

Who are we looking for?

• Ability to demonstrate experience in a similar financial accounting role
• CPA/CA qualification will be highly regarded
• Ability to communicate with all levels of stakeholders
• Attention to detail and a strong degree of accuracy
• Strong problem-solving skills
