Working exclusively an established and profitable business near Romford, to recruit a permanent and full-time Financial Controller.

Working on a full-time basis and reporting straight into the MD, this is an excellent opportunity to join in a role which, for the right person, will develop into a Finance Director role in time.

Duties will entail:

• Managing, supervising and motivating a small finance team of 4-5
• Presenting management accounts to Managing Director level
• Business Partnering with the MD to drive the business forward
• Overseeing all aspects of transactional finance
• Improving existing processes, saving time and money in the process

The suitable candidate will be:

• ACCA, ACA & OR CIMA qualified, with significant post-qualified experience (ideally 3+ years), which will be gained in commerce/ industry and not just in a practice environment
• An accomplished motivator and manager of people (with demonstrable experience)
• A strong finance professional, capable of influencing and challenging those at Director level
• Analytical and capable of implementing improvements
• Driven, passionate and ambitious, with a will to be a Finance Director in the short-medium term
