Hardware Resources Hiring for Senior Accounting Manager Job at Bossier City, LA Full Time

ABOUT THE JOB

The Hardware Resources division is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team and become a key contributor to our continued rapid growth. The Senior Accounting Manager is primarily responsible for operations accounting and reporting, the month end close and related account analyses, and sales tax. The Senior Accounting Manager will also be instrumental in any external audits and reviews required throughout the year. The Senior Accounting Manager will report to the Corporate Assistant Controller and will lead a team of three accountants.
Key Duties and Responsibilities.

• Manage, develop, and mentor a team of three accountants. Foster personnel development to ensure cross-training, continuity planning, and growth opportunities for team members.

• Own assigned month-end/year-end close functions, including preparing journal entries, reviewing account reconciliations, analyzing spending, and preparing financial statements

• Supervise cost accounting and operations reporting functions

• Sit on the Operations Steering Committee as the Finance representative and take the lead on operations related projects

• Support external audits with independent accounting firms

• Supervise the sales tax process for filing timely returns, manage process improvements and take the lead on periodic audits

• Assist with other projects, as necessary

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Deep knowledge of US GAAP with financial statement preparation

• Enthusiasm to take on responsibilities and continue to build and develop an outstanding team

• Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize activities

• Ability to lead, collaborate and function in a multi-department team environment

• Strong attention to detail

• Advanced MS Excel Skills

Education and Employment Experience

• Minimum of three years in a similar role – or equivalent experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required

• CPA or currently working toward obtain CPA

• Master’s degree preferred
