Summary:

DIANAVI is a funded startup company developing a new paradigm for digital health management of diabetes. Every 7 seconds, someone dies as a result of diabetes complications and the cost of diabetes is over $237B per year in the U.S. We are seeking a talented software engineer to join our enterprise. He or she will be tasked with designing and developing advanced software solutions with our software development team to address the needs to help fight diabetes and manage better lifestyle. The development team’s focus will be to work with leading experts in endocrinology and artificial intelligence to build a digital management system that will span Android/iOS mobile applications, web applications, and backend processing.

Our development efforts are heavy on algorithmic development and data centric integration, but not straightforward applications that serve only content. Candidates must have computer science, computer engineering, or related background to be considered as basic app/web development experience alone is not sufficient.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or related fields. Master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years of professional development experience focusing on mobile applications development in Android or iOS environment. Experience in one or more programming languages with shipped products for the following: Java/Kotlin, Swift, C/C++, and Javascript.
• Must understand fundamental AI and machine learning concepts. Prior experience in data science projects is highly desirable.
• Must have track record of product development experience, preferably in highly regulated industry, and in high volume consumer market.
• Experience with integrated front-end, back-end applications or data service, and familiar with full stack development environment.
• Must be familiar with Agile development process, and has been contributing to all phases of the SW product development cycle. Understand the key elements required towards achieving high software quality. Experience with software configuration management process and tools, as well as software qualify management environment.
• Must work on-site in Irvine, CA.

Desired Competences:

Data science, AI, or machine learning knowledge iOS, Android, and AWS SDK

Client/Server architecture and implementation

HealthKit API

Google Fit API

ML framework experience with Node.js, SQL/NoSQL and AWS cloud environments

Activity tracker integration (Fitbit, Apple Watch, etc)

Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and cyber security
