Broker Associate

Position Summary

This role is a to be a part of a Mortgage Brokerage team, and a key support role providing an outstanding customer service experience to clients.

The role provides a dedicated support to two senior brokers, and to collaborate alongside different team members from within and outside the organisation.

Before the company embarked on its new business ventures, its brokerage business has previously been awarded multiple industry recognition: including a top national brokerage office for four consecutive years.

Job description

• First and key contact to clients assigned to their portfolio. Managing enquiries and liaising with different stake holders on behalf of the clients. Stakeholders include solicitors/conveyancers of vendors and clients, builders, lenders, settlement agents, and internal team members. (not limited to these)
• Uncovering clients needs in term of mortgage requirements, through effective communications.
• Writing loan proposals; setting up applications through AOL; collating necessary documents for loan submissions.
• Managing multiple deadlines while achieving KPI’s. KPI’s include new leads, new submissions, and settlements.
• Applying policies, procedures, practices and standards to their allocates tasks. Taking responsibility for their own actions to ensure the achievements of high levels of quality, effective risk management and regulatory compliance.

Desired Profile

• Basic knowledge of mortgage products/services and/or banking products/services
• Experience or ability to understand and interpret financial data is desirable.
• Past working experience in a relevant role or industry: banking and finance, accounting and taxation, real estate, mortgage broking. Understanding of Australian property market, taxation and property regulations are desirable but not essential.
• Above average command in using Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, team
• A track record of gaining an understanding of customer’s needs and delivering excellent customer service
• A flexible and adaptable approach to changes
• Both spoken and written communication skills with experience of adapting their style and approach to the audience and message to be delivered.
• Experience in working collaboratively with other stake holders to achieve desired outcomes.

The company consists of brokers and associates who come from different industry with wealth of knowledge to shares.

Training for technical skills will be provided for the first three months; they will buddy up with and mentored by a senior broker for up to six months; expectation to be able to operate with minimum supervision after six months.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $66,473.00 – $81,245.00 per year
