Calibre Search Looking for Highway Design Engineer at Warrington, Cheshire Full Time

A very well-regarded, Tier One, International consultancy are looking for a Highway Design Engineer to join their established team in Warrington. They are looking for an engineer with at least two years’ experience working on a number of Highways England DIP framework schemes.

This consultancy can give you the opportunity to be involved in both feasibility and detailed design of Junction Improvements, horizontal and vertical road alignments and major new roundabouts using software’s such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D. You will also assist senior engineers in project delivery.

Despite the bulk of the team being based in Leicester this consultancy recognize that the working environment is changing and do have members of the team in, Leeds & Birmingham so if any of these locations do suit you better then please do still apply. Highway Design Engineers Responsibilities

• Detailed design of both Major Highways and Infrastructure using software’s such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, KeySIGN and KeyLign.
• Preparing schemes for tender using the NEC3 family of Forms of Contract, Manual of Contract Documents for Highway Works including use of Specification for Highway Works and the Standard Method of Measurement.
• Preparation of budgets, monitoring and report writing.
• Delivery of various highway design projects within a multi-disciplinary team.

Highway Engineer Key Requirements

• Accredited degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Experience using relevant software’s such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• At least 2 years relevant experience working on projects explained above.
• Experience as a Senior Engineer would be useful but an engineer looking to step into Senior and has experience of leading schemes would also be considered.
