What you’ll be doing:

• Maintaining daily accounting controls
• Supporting the Finance team in accounting activities
• Processing and forecasting payments
• Preparing journals and accruals
• Processing transactions in subsidiary and general ledgers including debtors, creditors, corporate cards, expense claims, and payroll variations
• Resolving client and supplier queries
• Performing reconciliations of general ledger accounts
• Providing Office Administration as required

We would love to hear from you if you:

• Have experience working in a Finance function supporting the accounting and reporting cycles
• Have a sound working knowledge of accounting principles, GST and FBT
• Have at least 5 years of experience in a credit-related function (including experience in liaising with creditors regarding payment of invoices)
• Have worked with complex/long term contracts relative to accounts receivable
• Experience with an electronic accounts payable processing environment and online banking systems for bulk funds transfer
• Have great verbal and written communications skills, and can effectively liaise with both external and internal clients
• Demonstrate high attention to detail and are known for your organisational and time management skills
• Naturally seek process improvement opportunities and initiatives

The following is highly desirable:

• Intermediate to advanced level in all Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook/Email
• Completed or in the process of completing a Certificate IV in Accounting & Bookkeeping
• Exposure to Deltek (Vantagepoint), Netsuite, and Concur
