FRENDEL KITCHENS is a major cabinet manufacturer located in Mississauga, ON (Dixie/401 area). We are adding to our Production team with opportunities available for the following positions:
Panel processing – assist with the operation of various woodworking machines including edge bander; kick saw; sander; dowel driller. Duties may include unloading product from panel saws; operating various woodworking machines; moving material throughout the plant with the use of a pump truck.
Material movement – move materials throughout the production area using a hand-pump truck. Candidates must be comfortable using production ladders.
Finishing Line – our automated paint/finishing lines each have a team that work together prepping materials to be finished, loading and unloading the lines; and moving materials to other locations.
Final Production Line – The built cabinet is transferred down the final production line for final assembly and wrapping before being shipped out. Job duties on this line may include the wrapping team, hanging doors, building drawer boxes, and attaching hardware.
Shipping Parts Expeditor – Add-ons required to ship with the cabinets are gathered (appliance panels; rails; crown moulding, fillers etc.). Job duties include identifying the addons; cutting required lengths; ensuring pieces that need to be finished are ready on time; following up with various departments; completing paperwork.
Previous experience is not necessary for any of these jobs. Qualifications for all of these positions include
* an excellent work ethic demonstrated in attendance; punctuality and willingness to work the hours when needed;
* aptness to follow written and oral instructions;
* good English communication skills;
* desire to learn;
* able to work well within a team environment.
Candidates must also be physically capable of working in a wood manufacturing environment, with the ability to lift, carry and move wood products. (Some positions require the ability to lift in excess of 20kg/40lbs consistently.)
We have scattered our shifts to start between 6:00 and 7:00 am as one of our COVID protocols. Start times are determined by production needs for each department. The average work week is 44-48 hours during busy season; 40 hours during quiet season. Additional overtime may be available at times.
