Reporting to the Director of Athletics & Wellness, the Events and Communications Coordinator is responsible for the delivery of all aspects of approximately 50 annual department events, including fundraisers and home varsity games – on and off campus, and campus recreation programming, particularly during the academic year.
This position requires a keen interest in sport and recreation, as well as knowledge of the local, provincial, and national collegiate sport environment. The coordinator is also responsible for enhancing the student experience on campus through event management and coordinating all aspects of such events; consultation for publications, special awards, web site development and maintenance, photograph inventory, and record keeping; and department image and public profile building.
