About The Role

We are currently seeking an Intern Accountant with some experience in the field. This will be a new role within our Finance Department to bring a different skill set into our experienced and dynamic team.

Your primary responsibilities will be assisting Accountants:

• Accounts receivable and accounts payable functions
• Construction project accounting functions
• Month end general ledger and other reconciliations
• Preparation of monthly management reporting and statutory accounts
• BAS/IAS/Payroll Tax lodgment
• Payroll processing
• General administration duties

The successful candidate will have:

• A degree in accounting or finance
• Studying towards CA/CPA qualifications
• Strong administration skills including the use of Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent numeracy skills with high accuracy level
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
• Time management, prioritisation and work organisation skills to effectively complete tasks within required time frames
• High attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Experience using Jobpac and/or Xero would be advantageous

Contract length: 3 months

Due to current COVID-19 Lockdown Restrictions in Sydney you will be required to work from home during this period.
