Job Description – AWS to OCI Migration Specialist

Location: PAN India

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Specialist with strong expertise in AWS to OCI migration projects. The candidate should have hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure management, migration planning, cloud automation, and multi-cloud environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, planning, and executing migration of workloads and services from Amazon Web Services (AWS) to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

Key Responsibilities

• Assess existing AWS infrastructure and design equivalent or optimized OCI architecture.
• Develop and execute migration strategies, timelines, risk assessments, and rollback plans.
• Perform migration of workloads including compute, storage, databases, networking, and security configurations.
• Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to ensure application compatibility and performance after migration.
• Implement infrastructure automation using Terraform, Ansible, or OCI Resource Manager.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize OCI resources for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Prepare migration documentation, architecture diagrams, SOPs, and operational runbooks.
• Ensure adherence to security, governance, and compliance standards throughout the migration lifecycle.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure management and cloud migration projects.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, Load Balancers, etc.
• Strong knowledge of OCI services including Compute, Block Storage, Object Storage, Networking, IAM, and Monitoring.
• Experience with AWS to OCI migration tools and methodologies such as CloudEndure and OCI Migration services.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation tools including Python, Shell Scripting, Terraform, and Ansible.
• Experience working with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
• AWS and OCI certifications will be an added advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in hybrid cloud and multi-cloud environments.
• Knowledge of database migration involving Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of cloud cost optimization strategies and cloud billing models.
• Experience handling large-scale infrastructure migration projects.
