Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Jr. Financial Analyst -Advanced Excel/Financial Modeling. This position offers an exciting opportunity to support Canadian retail banking operations by analyzing financial data, maintaining models, and contributing to various projects within a collaborative team environment.
Pay rate range (CAD): $43.69/hr – $52.43/hr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior management to understand and implement updates to financial models
- Maintain and update financial and data models to ensure accuracy and alignment with business needs
- Execute monthly roll-overs, ensuring proper data ingestion and consistency
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and ensure data integrity
- Prepare and update financial presentations for business reviews using PowerPoint
- Collect, process, and analyze data to respond to inquiries from different business units
- Perform investigations and provide timely, accurate support for day-to-day requests
- Generate reports and retrieve information from models and databases to meet business requirements
- Support ad hoc projects, including generating models and reports, contributing to team objectives, and taking on new challenges with flexibility and adaptability
Desired Skill-Set
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline
- Strong financial modeling and data analysis skills
- High proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel (pivot tables, VLookups, functions) and PowerPoint
- Investigative mindset with problem-solving abilities
- Well-rounded, versatile, and adaptable with willingness to contribute beyond primary responsibilities
- Positive attitude with eagerness to learn
Nice to Have
- Experience with PowerBI or SQL
